CSIRO scientists visited remote communities to yarn with locals to share our trusted research.
CSIRO’s Community Engagement and Information Program is committed to protecting personal information and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (‘Privacy Act’) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The Community Engagement and Information Program complied with the values, principles, governance and review processes specified in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007) and any relevant state and national legislative requirements such as the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
The Community Engagement and Information Program was committed to enhancing Indigenous data sovereignty in environmental decision-making.
The Community Engagement and Information Program conducted activities in accordance with the guidelines outlined in CSIRO’s Reconciliation Action Plan actions designed to build stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through scientific knowledge sharing, education, employment opportunities and mutually beneficial partnerships that can deliver a positive impact to all Australians.
