NOCTurbis Mk1

The Problem

A new low-cost method of optically measuring nitrate, dissolved organic carbon, and turbidity is being developed by Dr Tarun Sanders for monitoring water quality. These prototype optics and algorithms need supporting electronics and to be protected from water to allow them to be deployed in the field for testing.

Our Solution

The Sensor Prototype Hub has been designing custom electronics, a protective waterproof housing, and internal component mounts for both in-lab testing and calibration and field deployment.

Our Collaborators

The prototype work is being done by Jack Waller and Ben Blizzard for Dr Tarun Sanders on the project “Low-Cost Optical Sensors for Water Quality IOT Networks”, with input from Andrew Filisetti and Tim Bolton
