A visit to the Southern tip of Vietnam

Acting Deputy Head of Mission Kate Wallace paid a visit to Ca Mau province this week. During a meeting with Vice Chairman Le Van Su of Ca Mau’s People Committee, Kate shared about Australia’s work in Ca Mau and in Vietnam, especially in healthcare, agriculture, education and gender equality.
 
Kate also stopped by Dat Mui Forest, where she talked to the forest management board and local farmers. It gave her a very authentic experience of the mangrove forest and shrimp farming, and how Australia’s innovation and knowledge is contributing to the conservation of the ecosystem while enhancing the livelihoods of local communities.
