Information for Pathology
Why contribute pathology data to HOTspots?
HOTspots collates data across community and hospitals. Contributing your pathology data will build a more comprehensive understanding of AMR. We collect pathology data and work with local stakeholders to develop programs to reduce the threat of AMR. In addition, HOTspots contributes surveillance data to Australia’s national surveillance program (AURA).
Key Activities of HOTspots:
- Developing local antibiograms to assist health services and clinicians with clinical decision-making
- Capture variations in AMR between regions and practice evidence-based medicine
- Provide education and training
