About

The Next Generation Responsible AI Symposium serves as a forum for interdisciplinary exploration into the ethical, legal, social, and technical dimensions of artificial intelligence. This symposium aims to convene researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the public to critically examine and advance the discourse on Responsible AI practices. Topics of interest include fairness and bias mitigation, transparency, accountability, privacy and security, legal frameworks, bioethics, social science and human-centred approaches, and emerging cross-cutting issues.

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (2 pages max) addressing ongoing research, early-stage concepts, or critical reflections on Responsible AI. Submissions should clearly outline the motivation, methodology, and relevance to the broader Responsible AI discourse.

We welcome abstracts from both researchers and industry practitioners, in order to bring to life the real-world challenges of delivering Responsible AI. For this reason, submissions from industry partners can be based on case studies, first-person narratives, or team-based insights into the barriers and enablers of Responsible AI.

Note: If you are submitting an abstract to the DICTA conference that fits under our thematic categories for Responsible AI, you may also submit your work to the Next Generation Responsible AI Symposium.
